Central Park from Rockefeller Center looking North. Central Park is just an amazing place. From here it looks "pretty" big, but when you realise that it's 4 kilometres long, this view takes on a whole lot of new meaning. 4 kays of highrise apartments and offices, and that's just looking on one direction. I couldn't help but wonder what the value of this land was - I checked the wikipedia entry and they estimate it to be $528 billion. Times Square in the middle of the day.
We had a conference for work in New York City and I had an opportunity to spend a weekend here before some more meetings, so I grabbed my camera and walked. And walked. And walked.

Under the wall and down the hill in the small town of Monteriggioni just before we reached Siena. On the way up to the Cupola in St Peter's basilica - a few people painstakingly restoring the artwork half way up.

Australia played Paraguay at Suncorp Stadium in a friendly on Saturday night. Fantastic atmosphere, over 47,000 spectators on a perfect night. Shame about the result! 1-1, own goal in the 90th.

On Christmas Eve a pair of owls sat on the ground outside Mum and Dad's place - not entirely sure why but they certainly weren't afraid of me!

There's a truckload of lantana among other things on the headland - this is looking west to the mountains, the haze was that bad you can hardly see it.Strong offshore wind meant the seagulls could ride the wind - they just hang about six feet above your head. This one didn't move his wings for about a minute.
Went for a drive down to Byron Bay on the weekend, twas cool! Went a little further to Lennox Head. 95% of number plates in Byron are QLD, drive another fifteen minutes and they are almost all NSW - tourist free zone and all the better for it.
