Byron Bay - Lennox Head
Went for a drive down to Byron Bay on the weekend, twas cool! Went a little further to Lennox Head. 95% of number plates in Byron are QLD, drive another fifteen minutes and they are almost all NSW - tourist free zone and all the better for it.
Strong offshore wind meant the seagulls could ride the wind - they just hang about six feet above your head. This one didn't move his wings for about a minute.

Plain old seagull.Strong offshore wind meant the seagulls could ride the wind - they just hang about six feet above your head. This one didn't move his wings for about a minute.Emma on the beach at Lennox Head.
The view from the headland - there are no fences on the headland, just a lot of "Enter at your own risk" signs. I couldn't handle looking over the edge, Emma had to take this one. From the top of Lennox Head - apparently this is Skennars Head to the south. The walking track on the headland.
Lennox Head from the south. The weird shaped rock in the foreground is called "Shag Rock" - named for the birds that crap on it all day. The rock is now white.Me.
The whole headland to the south. There's a truckload of lantana among other things on the headland - this is looking west to the mountains, the haze was that bad you can hardly see it.Obligatory photo of the Byron Bay lighthouse.
