London Trip (incl. Oxford)
Went to London for a week for work and bummed around for a second week. Was fantastic to see a very different part of the world, and catch up with friends at the same time.
Big Ben closeup.

Trafalgar Square. First day we arrived - the weather was absolutely perfect! It was just like home - but Ben and Laura were going nuts because they hadn't seen the sky for months!Fountain in the square.Hint of a rainbow.
Big Ben in the background.Malaysian flag fluttering in the early afternoon breeze.Laura looking over at Ben and I in Trafalgar Square.
Things look so much better when it's sunny!Big Ben.Big Ben closeup.
The Eye and the Moon. The Thames on dusk.Piccadilly Circus.
Morto taking photos.View down the street.Just next to the Virgin Megastore. It's the little things that make everything different - a major street that is curved!
Out in Oxford the buildings are older still. The University grounds.A college perhaps? I had to get the camera through the big gates at the front!
In the centre of Oxford is a tiny little cemetery near a church. One of the more recent headstones. The Oxford main street gets pretty busy during the early afternoon. Well at least it did when I was there.
I seem to recall they knocked this one together in the mid 1300's.One of the college grounds - Magdalen college perhaps?Paddington train station in London.
Outside the Natural History museum.Inside the Natural History museum. Pretty spectacular place inside. The Porcupine pub.
Empire theatre on Leicester Square.Leicester Square itself.Trendy looking little Italian joint just down the road.
Trafalgar Square (again) - you can see the Tower of London way off in the background.
